Guide to Setting up Orb

Warning: If you don't have VPack unlimited data usage, don't even think about trying this. It will charge you 2 dollars per megabyte of usage. Ouch.

As a note, I am doing this using Parallels on an Intel Mac. So yes, Mac users can do this, too. This also proves that I do not have any "magical codec". Only the mpeg DScaler codec that comes with Orb.

*Note* "Please let users know that in the Orb config options, "use uPnP for Direct Steam" MUST BE TURNED OFF! This fixed my problem immediately. Now both audio AND video are working perfectly."-addihul

First, you will need to download Orb.

Then, You will need to install it. Double Click on Orb20SetupUS.exe.

This will start the Setup process. Click Next.

Click "I Agree".

Click Install.

Wait for it to finish.

Click Next.

Click  Next.

Tick "No" and click Next.

Click Close.

Now Right-Click on the new Orb Icon in your system tray. Click "Configuration.

Enable Webcams.

In the Media Tab, you can select folders of videos and music and pictures you want orb to stream. These can be viewed on your phone.

In the Advanced tab, match your settings to mine.

Now Click OK. Double click on the orb icon in your system tray. It will open your Orb page. Click Open Applications, then TV / Webcams.

Click "Add Custom".

Now go here.

Scroll to the Orb Links and choose one. I chose Discovery Channel. Copy the link you chose.

Now go back to your Orb page tab. Name the Channel and paste the link to it like so. Click Submit.

Now it's time to change some settings on the Voyager itself.

Open your Mobile Web Browser. This will count $1.99 per megabyte unless you have the VPack unlimited data.

Hit Menu, Go to WWW. Type "http://mycast.orb.com".

Login to Orb with the details you make earlier.

Now scroll to the bottom of the Orb page and click settings.

Set your Speed to 80 JUST like in the picture. Then Click Save.

Now go the the "Stream" tab. Match your settings to mine.

Now click "Save and Exit". Then watch your channel. If it looks like crap (like in the picture), then double your speed from 80 to 160.
