Installing Bitpim and set-up
Ensure your phone is NOT plugged into your computer. Now you will need to install the USB drivers for your phone, unless you have already installed them using the Vcast Music Manager CD that came with your phone. Otherwise, read on. Download them here. Once finished installing, you should be able to plug your phone in and see it recognized as “LG CDMA USB Modem”.
Now it’s time to install BitPim. Download it here. Double click the .exe and install.
Once finished, open BitPim. If it automatically detects your phone, you are finished. Otherwise, read on.
In order for you to be able to accees the files on your phone, BitPim must be able to access it. Here is how to set it up.
Choose Edit>Options.
You will be presented with this screen. Go ahead and match your settings to mine. Your COM port may be different. Just to be sure, click Browse... and choose the port named “(*) LGE CDMA USB Serial Port (COM x)” x would be a number.
Clc
Click OK to dismiss the screen. Choose Edit>Detect Phone. The lights should turn green.
Once your lights are green, choose View>Filesystem unless it’s already checked. Now you are done.
